I believe that I might be able to help you. I, too, am a descendant of several William Sizemores. I am at my office computer right now, but I will get back to you tomorrow. I can tell you this: all the Sizemores, as far as I can tell, were descended from a William Sizemore who came to Thurlow One Hundred Island off the Virginia Coast. After having served a seven year indentured servant term, he and his wife and three sons were given 100 acres of land in the Great Dismal Swamp that served as a motivation for them to begin migrating Westward. They came from Virginia, to North Carolina, to Alabam, and as far as Texas. The name "William" repeats itself over and over again in the Sizemore family, as well as James and Daniel and Henry, at least in my research. The William Sizemore who came here in 1623 came on the ship "Charity". His father was Michael Sizemore, "late of London" so says the record, @ 1590.but have yet pin-pointed for sure my link to the original William. I work on this spasmodically, but you have piqued my interest again. Let me hear from you. By the way, there is a newsletter called "Searching for Sizemore", published from Florida. When I get back on the net, I'll give you the address and particulars. Happy Hunting:)

Thanks for visiting and good luck in finding your family.

Between April 2000, and November 2001, 34 people wrote to thank us for finding their family. We suspect that many more were helped who forgot to say thank you. Your donation will help many families to be reunited. (Perhaps your own as well.)
