Searching for biological grandfatherI doubt anyone can help me find my biological grandfather. My grandmother gave birth to my dad unmarried on June 4, 1922, in the city of Detroit. My grandmother's name was Lorada Roads and she migrated from rural Missouri some time after WW I. She worked as a waitressnear the Ford plant in Highland Park, MI. I believe my grandfather's name was Mike and he was Syrian. That is all I know. I found out about Mike from at my father's funeral. At that time my grandmother was also dead. She was very much ashamed all her life about her unwed pregnancy and kept her secret to the grave. Is there DNA testing to determine my ethnic heritage? I would really like to know if I am part Arab. Any suggestions or ideas to pursue would be very welcome.
Thanks for visiting and good luck in finding your family. Between April 2000, and November 2001, 34 people wrote to thank us for finding their family. We suspect that many more were helped who forgot to say thank you. Your donation will help many families to be reunited. (Perhaps your own as well.) Donations may be mailed to: Father of Peace Ministry
Best Regards,
