Hi,
My name is Helen Hill, and I'm the Chief Petitioner for Proposed Initiative 46, which would give Oregon Adult Adoptees the right to request and receive a copy of their original birth certificates when they are 21 years old, just like any other citizen of Oregon.

We are now gathering signatures to place this on the November l998 ballot. There are well over one hundred people; adoptees, adoptive parents, birthparents and people just interested in protecting the rights of others, involved in the volunteer, grass roots effort to get the 100,000 signatures needed to get this to the ballot. Would you like to help?

Check out the website; http:/www.plumsite.com/oregon/ for more information.

If you're interested insigning a petition or in helping to circulate petitions, please email me with your snail mail address and I will send off some petition sheets.

We also have bumper stickers, buttons that say "I am a volunteer circulator for Measure 46", T shirts and fliers to help get the word out. If you'd like any of these, just say so, and if you will use them, I will send them.

Thank you, and call me anytime if you have questions at 503 368 5786
Sincerely,
Helen Hill
Chief Petitioner for Measure 46
