REGARDING YOUR SEARCH

Hi. I am an adoptee and I sympathize with your story and can somewhat relate to it also. I have found my birthmother (a while back). No, it didn't end up as well a story as I thought it would, but at least I got to meet her and know who I look like and where some of my mannerisms come from.

She agreed to meet with me, but did not want any long-term relationship with me. Well, at least now I have "peace of mind" and got alot of questions answered. (We also did similiar things growing up, like joining the "Girl Scouts") It was weird, kinda like meeting a twin.

I realize now that my parents are the ones that raised me and were there for me through everything. I am in a way "thankful" that she gave me up because I wouldn't of had the wonderful life I had if she hadn't. Believe me, I have met my birth family, and I am happy where I am today. I only forgive her and wish her well.

I hope that you are lucky in your search, however it may end. Keep in mind, as though you've never heard this before....don't have any expectations.

Good Luck!
Tara

P.S. - Please don't hate me for the words I chose or the feelings I have. My situation may be very different from yours. E-mail me back if you want to. If not, I'll understand. Good Luck!

Thanks for visiting and good luck in finding your family.

Between April 2000, and November 2001, 34 people wrote to thank us for finding their family. We suspect that many more were helped who forgot to say thank you. Your donation will help many families to be reunited. (Perhaps your own as well.)
