The production of any program or project needs many things to be considered.

What style to present to your intended audience. Planning the treatment, the story board and the script. Consider the locations of required shoots. How and what will the locations require you to edit your production? What equipment will the client, the job and the location require? What crew and staff will be required to run and support the equipment? What unions and Guilds will you have to deal with? What budget do you have to work with now that you know what the equipment and personnel requirements are? How will you edit the resulting video - digital nonlinear; tape cuts-only; minimal special effects?

When planning the final video production do not forget that many viewers of your program may be hearing impaired and would benefit greatly from your program if it had Closed Captioning. So many production houses or producers ignore the fact that they are not serving their entire community, and actually missing a portion of their total audience.

The many formats of today, along with edit methods and styles, would take up too much room to discuss here. We are priming your thoughts as to how you need to plan your production and post-production.
