Hosting Sites Created with Microsoft® FrontPage® 2000
Current Version
We use the most current version of the Microsoft® FrontPage® 2000 extensions that have been tested and proven stable and secure with our operating system and web server software.
FrontPage 2000. At this time, all standard and Deluxe servers have been converted from FrontPage® 98. Some Mammoth servers may still be running FrontPage 98.
Known Issues
One issue that some of our customers have with FrontPage® 98 is that when they try to make a mail-to form their local copy of FrontPage says that they don't have a (local) mail server installed, and when they upload to the web, the mail bot doesn't work.
There are several levels of fix available:
The lucky ones: Can just ignore this error message and things work fine.
For most users: Log in to the web server using your domain name in FrontPage®, and recalculate the web. This typically only happens for some customers the first time that a mail-to form is added to their site.
For the rest of you: The user will need to log into the web server using your domain name and recreate the form. This is most easily done by creating a new form below the existing form, and cutting the WYSIWYG text out of the old form and pasting it into the new form. (If the web site is then published from the web server to your local PC, the problem will be permanently fixed.)
