Why Is It So Inexpensive?
- This server takes advantage of characteristics of current web browsers, to divert the visitor to the appropriate web page.
- Netscape version 1.x and Internet Explorer version 2.x are not compatible with this technique, but later versions are.
- During April 1999 we monitored which browsers were visiting the server. 1 in 1000 were old browsers. 95% were compatible. The remaining 81 browser types, consisting of 5% of total visitors, had names that didn't indicate if they were compatible or not, but they mostly consisted of search engine spiders which are probably compatible.
