Ada Marie Clark Beard was born November 10, 1933 in Cedar City , Utah to James Laycock Clark and Sarah Isabelle Smith Clark. I attended elementary school in Cedar City.
In 1947 we moved to Ogden, Utah. I graduated from Ogden High School in June 1952. While in my Sophomore year I met William R. Beard who was with the US Air Force.
We were married on June 21, 1952. We have three wonderful children: Claudia Jill, Debra Ann, and William Robert Jr.
We lived in Ogden until 1961, when we moved to R.A.F. Lakenheath, Suffolk, England. We lived there for three years and it was quite an experience for us. From there we moved to Denver, Colorado where Bill retired from the Air Force in 1968.
I went to work for the Army - Air Force Exchange system in 1965. I was the Department Supervisor over the Sporting Goods Department. I retired in November 1985.
I am now enjoying our four beautiful grandchildren: Kris age 12, Shauri age 9, Jared and April age 4. (Expecting our 5th in November.)
My hobbies are sports. I love to Bowl and I carry a 175 average. Every year my team goes to the Bowling Nationals, which is held in different state each year. I also love football, and my favorite team is the Denver Broncos. (We have season tickets and never miss a game.)
I like to putter and fix up around the house and work in the yard. I have had a very good and happy life and a wonderful marriage. I am very proud of my family and of my heritage.

I would like to add a little to this writing. I was in the C.C.C. in 1933 in Zion Park. We were working on the roads and trails. I usually came home each weekend. This one weekend when I came home there was this sweet little red headed baby in my mother's arms. Now I never knew that mother was expecting, at any time. Boy, it was surely a neat surprise. I have always loved my little red headed sister. Her good clean life has always been an inspiration to me. She always walks tall and straight. Remember she was in the Air Force, Amen.
