The Hanksville Cemetery is a charming, well-maintained cemetery just northeast of Hanksville.  There is no lawn, as it's a very gravel bench, but there is a beautiful view in every direction.  To the south are the Henry Mountains.  To the west are the Boulder and Thousand Lake Mountains.  To the northwest is the San Rafael Swell.

Flags are placed on Veterans' graves every holiday by Barbara Ekker.  The flags are donated by the Harold Brown Legion Post in Loa and their members do military honors at all Veterans services.
