Welcome . . . my name is Greg Maxfield and I am the coordinator of the Emery County GenWeb site. Although I no longer live in Emery County, my roots here go back to the very beginning. I have fond memories of my childhood in Emery County and all of the relatives I left behind. My interest in genealogy in general and the USGenWeb project in particular have led me to volunteer my time on this project. Please consider volunteering to help on this project (or any other genealogy project for that matter). Any help will be greatly appreciated by many.

I hope you enjoy your visit. Come back soon!

    Cemetery Records

The Family History Libraries in Price and Emery County conducted a survey of all the cemeteries in the area. They created a database of the cemeteries and all individuals buried therein. This project was completed in 1991 and lists all individuals buried in the following cemeteries.

Utah State Historical Society Burials Database

This searchable Burials Database is a product of the Utah Cemetery Inventory Project.  It includes names and
other genealogical information about people who are buried in Utah cemeteries.

The Tombstone Transcription Project is making a nationwide effort to preserve the data located in cemeteries in nearly every community. Once preserved, the data will be shared through projects such as the USGenWeb. No doubt many people in Emery County have made efforts to record this information. But now we want to get it online.

If you have electronic files of cemetery records in Emery County and would be willing to share them with the public, or if you would be willing to help transfer records to computer files, please notify the Emery County coordinator.
