The Western Mining and Railroad Museum - built in 1914 as the Helper Hotel. The building was later purchased by the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad to house their crews. In 1982 it was purchased by Helper City to be used as a museum. |

At the top of the rock formation was a tennis court for the use of Spring Canyon residents and on the left side of the mountain the rock is in the formation of an Indian face. Pavlos and Theodosa Rutzakis married 1921 in Spring Canyon. The photo is actually a second wedding photo taken some years after they were married. Pavlos didn't like the first wedding photo because he was sick with scarlet fever and had lost a lot of his famous red hair. Pavlos Rutzakis was sheriff in the mid 1920's to mid 1930's in Rains.
